Stephen F. and Camilla T. Brauer Professor and Chairman of Biomedical Engineering, Director, Institute of Biological and Medical Engineering, Washington University

An aeronautical engineer and cardiologist, Dr. Yin has researched the development of a computer model that would predict the amount and location of abnormal tissue to be removed in cardiac patients; current studies focus on responses of specific cells to mechanical stimuli for various cardiovascular tissues such as myocardium, pericardium, and valve leaflets.
