A 2007 MacArthur Genius Grant Fellow, Dr. Edwards was recognized for his vital role in ensuring the safety of drinking water and exposing deteriorating water-delivery infrastructure in America’s largest cities. In 2016 TIME magazine named him one of the world’s 100 Most Influential People. That same year, he made Fortune magazine’s World’s Greatest Leaders list.
