Featured Speakers: St. Louis County Crime Lab Forensic Scientists Kelly Pokorny and Andrew Weston

Learn about the STEM disciplines of the crime laboratory and the role each plays in the criminal justice process. Hear from County Crime Lab forensic scientists on testing and technologies used in the lab, and the types of crimes and evidence most commonly encountered in the laboratory.

Future Trek STEM Career Explorations: Greening Your Future for 6th – 8th Grade Students

Thursday, February 16, 2017 @ 9:00 am-1:30 pm

Room remaining for 25 students. Individual and home school students/groups may also register to attend.

Explore careers in science through interactive and hands-on demonstrations in four fun, informative and fast-paced, 25-minute classroom sessions with working scientists, engineers and STEM professionals. Career explorations include sessions on Green Careers in STEM. Students participate in an afternoon scavenger hunt featuring the Botanical Garden’s Climatron (world’s first geodesic dome greenhouse), Linnean House (oldest continuously operating greenhouse west of the Mississippi), William T. Kemper Center for Home Gardening, and English Woodland Garden.
