Academy of Science – St. Louis Science Fair
The Monsanto Fund and SunEdison support this high-impact demonstration of scientific learning and discovery.

Judges Needed – More than 350 judges are needed to evaluate science fair projects at the Academy of Science – St. Louis Science Fair.  YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

Honors Division (Grades 9-12) – Saturday, February 1, 2014
Qualified judges include individuals with advanced degrees or certification – M.D., Ph.D., P.E., D.Sc., et al, to evaluate collegiate-quality student science projects.

Grades K-12 – Wednesday, April 30, 2014
Judges are asked to judge 15 projects.  Qualified judges include individuals with a background in science, scientists, researchers and teachers.

Speakers for Science
Academy speakers are STEM professionals, graduate students and post-docs who talk in public forums on topical issues in science.  Speakers may present at one or more of the Academy’s many public science talks throughout the region, or to schools, scouting groups, civic and professional organizations in the St. Louis metropolitan area.

Speakers may also indicate interest in volunteering to assist in the following areas:

  • Academy BioBlitz biologists, naturalists and environmental enthusiasts lead teams of citizen scientists on urban explorations of the biodiversity of our area parks and natural areas.
  • Academy STEM Career Explorations scientists, engineers, college and university students, medical and other STEM professionals, help students in grades 6-8 explore STEM careers and experience the interdisciplinary nature of science today in fun and fast-paced high-impact small group interactive sessions scheduled throughout the school year.
