In the tropics many specialized bats visit flowers, pollinating them in exchange for the sugar-rich nectar they provide. In this multimedia presentation rich with stunning photos and video, biologist Nathan Muchhala discusses the intricate, mutualistic dance between pollinators and flowers in the tropics, as each evolve specialized traits to better perform their roles in providing nectar and transferring pollen.
